Jesperhus is now opening its doors to the new playland Zik & Zak’s Abeland. The more than DKK 6 million expensive construction sets new standards for the children’s opportunities for play in Jesperhus.

– The new playground is a true paradise for the children, where it is possible to crawl around as well as up and down the various rides like a wide variety of roller coasters, giving the children a great experience, says director Peter Overgaard.

The family gathers around play

The play area is arranged so that the whole family can be gathered in the same room.

– The smallest have an area where, among other things, they can play with HAMA beads. The slightly older children have an area where there are lots of fun opportunities to crawl, slide and so on. And then we have a third area where it gets a little louder and a little wilder just as there is an area with small cars that you can drive in, says Peter Overgaard.

In the new playroom there is also a new cafe so that one can stay in the same place even if the thirst or hunger comes into play.

– And then we have built a scene in the hall where Zik & Zak’s popular morning gymnastics takes place. It has become increasingly popular with children, points out Peter Overgaard.

He will not deny that over time more shows will appear on stage in Zik & Zak’s Abeland.

Creates own and new characters

Jesperhus has also begun to develop its own new characters, who are entering Zik & Zak’s Legeland.

– Dr. Træls gets his own universe together with two new characters we ourselves have developed. If the experiment with the two new characters is successful, it is clearly a way we will go in the future so that our own characters complement Hugo, Zik & Zak and Dr. Træls, which Nordisk Film owns the rights to and with whom we have an absolutely fantastic collaboration, says Peter Overgaard.

Peter Overgaard will not reveal the new characters anymore.

– It is a surprise to the children, he points out.

Zik & Zak’s Abeland is open to everyone, and if you stay at Jesperhus with your family, there is free admission. If you do not live in Jesperhus, the children must pay entrance to Zik & Zak’s Abeland, while father and mother come in for free.

Jesperhus is waiting for 2,000 overnight guests at Easter. All cabins at Easter are sold out, but there is still room for brought caravans etc.
